If you have been wanting to move to the Boise area, you may be considering which neighborhood you want to live in based on what best fits your hobbies and job location. Although anywhere you live in Boise is great and the entire city is continuously growing, there are definitely some areas that are the favorites of the locals. At DJW Property Management, our team of professional property managers know which areas are most popular for people of all ages and lifestyles. Read below to find out if any of these areas would be a good fit for you!

The North End

The North End is one of the more historical areas in Boise. Not only this, but it is one of the most coveted areas to live in Boise. The North End is conveniently sitting right below Bogus Basin, the closest ski mountain in Boise. It’s about 16 miles to get to the top of Bogus, and only takes around 30 minutes to get there from the North End. Being in this area also means you’ll be around plenty of other outdoor recreation spaces like Hyde Park, Camel’s Back Park, Quinn’s Pond, and Elm Grove Park. The street everyone wants to live on in the North End is Harrison Boulevard. It’s a street with very beautiful and historic housing, and has an eye-catching tree canopy covering the street.

The Boise Bench

The Boise Bench, or simply The Bench, is an area that has gained a lot of popularity and attention in the last few years. The Bench is the area to live in if you don’t want to live downtown, but want to be extremely close with cheaper housing. It’s an area that is continually growing and developing. Many houses have been remodeled on The Bench to make them much nicer, but they still remain cheaper than the rest of Boise. Residing here puts you in close proximity to the airport, Boise Train Depot, Hillcrest Country Club, and the historical Vista Village. It has been said that Vista Village was the nation’s first-ever strip mall!

The Warm Springs Mesa

Unlike the first two, the Warm Springs Mesa is a much newer area of Boise. Although construction began in the 1960’s, the land is continually being developed and turned into new properties. You will hear locals simplify the name and call it the “Mesa”. The Mesa boasts some of the most incredible views in all of Boise (aside from Bogus Basin). It’s closest attraction is Table Rock, one of Boise’s most popular hikes. You will find trails for hiking and mountain biking all over the Mesa, so it’s a great area for the outdoor enthusiast.
